Taking inspiration from soul greats Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers, and folk legends John Prine and Dave Van Ronk, Amos Lee delivers a unique brand of folk-soul music that aims to unite, uplift, and inspire. The “folk” side is reflected in his nimble acoustic guitar playing and the intimacy of his live performances. The "soul" strain comes through in the engaging song-poetry of his lyrics and in what the Philadelphia Inquirer described as his "easygoing voice" and "raw, unedited emotion." Lee’s self-titled debut album was released in March 2005. The album found significant commercial success, hitting a peak of No. 2 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. Later that month he was named one of Rolling Stone's "Top 10 Artists to Watch." Lee's second album, Supply and Demand, was released October 3, 2006. His third studio album, Last Days at the Lodge, is set to be released on June 24, 2008. Come take pleasure in Amos Lee’s strong songs that are diverse stylistically and rich in texture.
