Unearth is a hardcore and thrash metal band formed in 1998 in eastern Massachusetts with the intention of bringing fresh, emotionally charged songs to the metal genre. Combining the fundamentals of metal with elegant harmonies, Unearth’s lyrical focus does not fall into step with common metal stereotypes. They steer away from the contrived ballads of destruction, hatred and ill will toward man. Their debut album, The Stings of Conscience, was a popular offering in the underground metalcore scene and eventually received critical acclaim as well. In their most recent album, III: In the Eyes of Fire, they have developed a more thrash metal sound, with dual-guitar harmonies matched with brooding bass-laden breakdowns and harrowing vocals. The band’s newest album, The March, was recently released in October of this year. Metal acts, Emmure, Born of Osiris, and Impending Doom join the bill to support this huge metal meltdown!
