Patton Oswalt is an actor/writer/comedian who has been headlining comedy clubs all over the U.S. since 1996. Oswalt's stand-up comedy covers topics ranging from pop culture frivolity such as comic book supervillains and 1980s glam metal to deeper social issues like American excess, materialism, Mesopotamian cuneiform script, foreign policy and religion. He’s done three stand-up specials, one for HBO and a one-hour special for Comedy Central. Patton created, produced and headlined the Comedians of Comedy tour, a live alternative comedy show that toured through various rock venues across America. The tour was the subject of a self-titled documentary film for NetFlix and Showtime and a series on Comedy Central. They were the first comedy show to be a part of the world-famous Coachella Music Festival. His most recent album was recorded in Feb. 2009 at the Lisner Auditorium at George Washington University in Washington D.C. It premiered on Comedy Central as Patton Oswalt: My Weakness is Strong on August 23, 2009, and was released on DVD August 25, 2009. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award. He currently stars in the Showtime drama The United States of Tara.
